The-Lowdown are on the lookout for a creative and energetic Videographer to join our superstar line-up!
About the role:
We’re looking for someone who can deliver impressive video content to our awesome clients and someone who can support our owned brand channels.
You’ll be collaborating with our wider team and reporting directly to our Senior Content Producer/Cinematographer, Account Directors and Account Managers.
Outputs will include short-form social media content, product videos, real-estate videos and music videos. You’ll also support our Senior Content Producer/Cinematographer in brand films and campaigns.
Having a keen interest in content creation and automotive sectors, paired with a hunger to develop will see you develop into a core part of The-Lowdown team for years to come.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Collaborative ideation and planning of video content
- Capturing video footage for use on social media, advertising and other channels
- Developing shot-lists, scripts, run sheets and directing talent
- Calibrating and maintaining video and video-editing equipment
- Editing and post-production tasks
- Managing the storage of footage including back ups
Here’s what you’ll look like:
- Prior experience operating video, sound and lighting equipment
- A portfolio of experience on engaging video-based projects
- Competent use of Premiere Pro and other video-editing applications
- Cert IV, Diploma or Degree in screen, media, communications or other relevant field
- Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Available and willing to work evenings, weekends and interstate travel as required
- You’re passionate, self-motivated and willing to take lead and make something your own
- You’re well organised and have great problem-solving skills
- You must be a team player
- You’ll have a strong interest of the automotive industry
- You have a good work ethic and aren’t afraid to take initiative
- You’ll have full Australian work rights and a valid drivers license

Paid Internship

The-Lowdown are currently about to run an internship program where you’ll apply knowledge in a practical environment – all whilst getting paid!
About the internship program:
We’re looking for someone who is currently studying or has recently completed studying in university with a major in Marketing. Additionally, someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills who can collaborate with our team.
Throughout the 6 week paid internship program, you’ll gain practical experience in the field of marketing. For the right applicant, a full-time Account Coordinator position may be made available in the future.
Here’s what you’ll learn about and do:
- Social media best practices including development and placement of social media content across client channels
- Fundamentals of advertising and activation of paid media across client channels
- Drafting and editing of copy for client marketing campaigns
- Gathering data for marketing reports
- Collaboration with a team including Account Coordinators and Account Managers in the planning, organisation and execution of various projects and campaigns for owned channels and client channels
- Assist with the development of creative concepts and develop client and creative briefs including photography and videography
- Assist with writing and designing email marketing campaigns for clients
- Develop and output client reporting, analyse data and identify opportunities for client growth and account growth
- Learn to understand trends, insights and best media practices across all relevant platforms
Here’s what you’ll look like:
- Currently studying or recently graduated in media and/or marketing through a university degree or existing experience at a media company or marketing agency
- You must have strong written and verbal communication skills, plus interpersonal interaction skills
- You’re prepared to work as a team to find the best solutions to problems
- You must be digitally adept, with a pre-existing understanding of all social media and advertising platforms
- You have basic graphic design and Canva knowledge
- You’re passionate, self-motivated and willing to take lead and make something your own
- You’re well organised and have great problem-solving skills
- You must be a team player
- You’ll have a strong interest of the automotive industry
- You have a good work ethic and aren’t afraid to take initiative
